Rio Linda 47, Highlands 0 at Rio Linda -- Running back Donte Jones rushed for 226 yards in 17 carries and three touchdowns for the Knights (3-0, 1-0).
Jones, who entered the game with 554 yards for the season, scored on runs of 18, 65 and 55 yards.
Thomas Mendez scored two touchdowns and had 59 yards rushing in six carries. Mendez, who also plays linebacker, led the Knights on defense with 13 tackles. Defensive ends Steve Waite and Rahim Clark had 12 and 11 tackles, respectively. The Scots fell to 1-3 and 0-1.
